Job Summary

The Director of Revenue at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic direction and daily operations of the Revenue Management function. The role also supports interdepartmental collaboration and continuous process improvement to ensure the property achieves its financial targets while delivering a seamless guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing and executing revenue management strategies for rooms, events, and ancillary services.
  2. Analyze market demand, competitive pricing, and booking patterns to identify revenue opportunities.
  3. Support the implementation of pricing models, promotions, and distribution strategies to maximize profitability.
  4. Track and analyze key performance indicators (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, etc.) and recommend adjustments.
  5. Prepare rolling forecasts and contribute to the annual budgeting and business planning process.
  6. Generate revenue performance reports and provide actionable insights for senior management.
  7. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and Front Office to align commercial strategies.
  8. Provide support on business mix optimization and channel distribution management.
  9. Supervise and guide revenue analysts or coordinators; contribute to team training and performance tracking.
  10. Identify and implement process enhancements that improve revenue workflows and guest conversion rates.
  11. Stay informed on industry innovations and revenue tools, contributing to strategic agility.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in hotel revenue management or commercial analytics, with supervisory experience preferred.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  3. Strong analytical, numerical, and strategic thinking abilities.
  4. Proficient in revenue management systems.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional teams.
  6. Results-oriented with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  7. Knowledge of local market trends and competitive landscape is a plus.
  8. Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is an asset.
