Job Summary
As Assistant Food & Beverage Director at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, you will support the F&B Director in overseeing the full spectrum of F&B operations. This includes managing restaurant and bar outlets, banqueting, and in-room dining to ensure seamless service, high guest satisfaction, and alignment with the hotel’s luxury standards. You will play a key role in business planning, budgeting, team development, and maintaining brand consistency and operational excellence across all food and beverage offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Food and Beverage in strategic planning and daily operations across all outlets.
- Implement and monitor annual business and marketing plans to drive revenue growth.
- Lead, mentor, and manage outlet managers and F&B team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and product standards in all dining venues.
- Develop and execute F&B promotions and menu changes in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Manage F&B cost controls, pricing strategies, and inventory oversight to maximize profitability.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and maintenance standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Participate actively in guest engagement, feedback collection, and service recovery.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation processes within the department.
- Act as Manager-on-Duty and support special events and VIP functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8–10 years in Food & Beverage operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a luxury hotel setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field; professional certifications preferred.
- Fluent in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills; additional languages an advantage.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams, drive service excellence, and meet financial goals.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- High energy, stamina, and polished presentation in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of HACCP, local licensing laws, and safety regulations.
