The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the overall dining experience of our guests. Drives the development and implementation of strategies as well as initiatives to exceed guests dining expectations, ensures employee satisfaction and focuses on capturing the maximum financial returns for the department.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on involvement with all day-to-day functions, including associate management, guest interactions, office administration, vendor communications and labour costs management.
  • Empowers the Food and Beverage team to ensure that all day-to-day operational matters are handled on time and guests’ expectations are exceeded.
  • Keeps the service standard at a level above the market expectation at all times.
  • Works closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the existence of menu offerings that appeals our target groups.
  • Create value proposition that caters to the market expectation and drives profitability at the same time.
  • Being accountable for achieving hotel’s Food and Beverage budget.
  • Initiate proactive cleanliness and hygiene practices in all Food and Beverage areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 – 10 years experiences in luxury, upscale resorts with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar position.
  • Tertiary education in related field, or full hospitality professional qualifications.
  • Passionate about F&B with excellent product knowledge.
  • Excellent financial acumen.
  • Able to command support from the team in getting tasks done.
  • Capable of maximising output by initiating effective productivity measures.
