The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible to developing and implementing sales, social media and marketing strategies to drive top line revenue, occupancy and brand awareness level.
Responsibilities
- Produces, articulates and implements competitive sales and marketing strategies and tactics successfully in conjunction with revenue management, marketing communications and the sales team.
- Management of forecasting accuracy and exercise revenue management in cooperation with the Revenue Manager.
- Directs the coordination of ongoing assessment of the travel industry to identify market trends and uncertainties, and related information for development of strategies for the competitive hotel environment.
- Responsible for leading and driving top line revenue for traditional sales segments to include group, volume transient & catering.
- Develops and implements a marketing communications plan designed to achieve the desired positioning of the hotel, as well as manage the sales & marketing budget that supports all initiatives including digital marketing initiatives.
- Ensures seamless events from acquisition to delivery through the synergy between the sales & marketing and operations team.
- Motivates, trains and supports the team effectively in the drive to solicit business opportunities.
- Plans, organises, directs and assigns day-to-day activities of the department in driving the hotels’ sales and marketing strategies and goals.
Requirements
- 4 – 5 years hands-on experience in a similar position with international management chains
- Dynamic, inspiring, innovative and enthusiastic in driving for results
- Ability to express effective, clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Strong leadership, organisational and administrative skills
- Must have the right to work in Malaysia
