Job Description

To provide leadership to associates and management team by effectively managing the human resources function so that the organization has the right number and type of skill mix needed to fulfil business requirements, within the organization’s agreed policies & local employment laws & regulations.

  • Ensure the staffing – work & job analysis, recruitment & selection are process properly according to hotel business and internal policy.
  • Regularly reviews internal and external compensation and benefits as well as keeping abreast of market data in order to ensure the organization is competitive in the market place and to attract and retain personnel.
  • Assesses development needs and identify development activities that will support the growth of local resources in order to improve the overall efficiency & capability of the organization’s resources for business success.
  • Incorporates with the management team, assess organizational resourcing needs, including type and skill mix, in order to ensure the organization has the appropriate resources to fulfil business requirements.
  • Implements procedures and practices that encourage a high performing culture to ensure the organization optimizes its human resources for business success.
  • Provides advice to the management team and associates on employment conditions and the labour law.
  • Ensures the organization is in full compliance with all local employment legislation including those relating to associate benefits, termination, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in related professional qualification
  • 3 or more years in the head of hotel HR role and previous management experience a plus, with HR experiences of the international luxury hotel preopening in Philippines.
  • Be familiar with local Employment Legislation
  • Ability to draft, implement and manage Human Resources policy
  • Ability for Staffing – work & job analysis, recruitment & selection
  • Managing Performance Management – include counselling, discipline & separation
  • Ability to manage the compensation & Benefits
  • Excellent Coaching/counselling skills
  • Diplomacy – must be able to build up close, respected relationships with management team
  • Open minded – dealing with cultural differences
  • Good English Language and local Language skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to develop motivational strategies
