ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. System Maintenance & Operations

•        Ensure all IT equipment undergoes preventive maintenance as scheduled

•          Maintain optimal performance and uptime of all hotel IT systems

•          Ensure availability of IT consumables and system resources

2. System Support & Troubleshooting

•          Coordinate timely repair and restoration of faulty systems and equipment

•          Establish escalation hierarchy for IT emergencies

•          Resolve system faults and manage enhancement requests efficiently

3. Data Management & Security

•          Establish and maintain data backup procedures

•          Recover data affected by hardware or software failures

•          Ensure data integrity and compliance with IT security standards

4. Software & Systems Management

•          Ensure Property Management System (PMS) is updated to the latest version as directed by Corporate

•          Strong understanding of Opera Cloud PMS, Agilysys POS and other Hotel Business applications

Head of ICT

•          Monitor system performance and recommend improvements

•          Plan the annual ICT budget and expenses, ensuring the department operates within the approved budget

•          Prepare the capital expenditure (CapEx) budget and submit it for approval to corporate and OwnCo.

5. Business Continuity & Risk Management

•          Develop and implement emergency procedures to maintain operations during system failures

•          Support internal and external audits with technical information and compliance

6. User Support & Training

•          Provide IT support to hotel staff and assist guests with IT-related issues

•          Conduct training sessions for associates on IT systems usage & cybersecurity awareness

•          Develop and maintain user manuals and SOP integration

7. Reporting & Communication

•          Ensure timely distribution of Night Audit and system-generated reports

•          Coordinate IT communication between departments and management

•          Escalate any cybersecurity incidents to proper corporate channels

8. Strategic Advisory

•          Advise management on new technologies and system enhancements

•        Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through IT solutions

GENERAL

1. Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the hotel by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues

    2. Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors

    3. Makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations to supervisors for the general improvement of the hotel

    4. Is fully conversant with al health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.

    5. Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language.

    6. Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the hotel is represented.

    7. Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of Law.

    8. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the General Manager.
