Job Description: Recreation Manager

The Recreation Manager oversees all recreational activities and facilities within a hotel, resort, or leisure property. This role ensures guests have engaging, safe, and enjoyable experiences through well-planned programs and efficient operations.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Activity Planning & Execution
    • Design and implement recreational programs for guests (e.g., fitness, sports, cultural activities).
    • Organize seasonal events and special activities to enhance guest experience.
  2. Team Management
    • Recruit, train, and supervise recreation staff.
    • Schedule shifts and monitor performance to maintain service standards.
  3. Guest Engagement
    • Promote activities and encourage guest participation.
    • Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
  4. Facility & Equipment Management
    • Ensure recreational areas (pool, gym, sports courts) are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
    • Manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
  5. Budget & Reporting
    • Prepare and manage recreation department budget.
    • Track participation, revenue, and feedback for continuous improvement.
  6. Safety & Compliance
    • Implement safety protocols for all activities.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
