Job Description: Recreation Manager
The Recreation Manager oversees all recreational activities and facilities within a hotel, resort, or leisure property. This role ensures guests have engaging, safe, and enjoyable experiences through well-planned programs and efficient operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Activity Planning & Execution
- Design and implement recreational programs for guests (e.g., fitness, sports, cultural activities).
- Organize seasonal events and special activities to enhance guest experience.
- Team Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise recreation staff.
- Schedule shifts and monitor performance to maintain service standards.
- Guest Engagement
- Promote activities and encourage guest participation.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
- Facility & Equipment Management
- Ensure recreational areas (pool, gym, sports courts) are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Budget & Reporting
- Prepare and manage recreation department budget.
- Track participation, revenue, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Safety & Compliance
- Implement safety protocols for all activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
