I. JOB PURPOSE

The position for Sales Manager, based in Hanoi, reports directly to the Director of Sales and is responsible for growing revenue and market share in Northern Vietnam, with the main focus is Hanoi. This cluster role supports both Angsana Lang Co and Banyan Tree Lang Co, requiring strong understanding of positioning, pricing, and client expectations across segments.

The role covers direct sales in Wholesale FIT – GIT, Tour Series & MICE markets. Additional experience managing Corporate & Government is a critical advantage. The key responsibility is on key account development, strategic planning, and driving commercial results for both resorts.

II. KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Ensure regular client engagement through training, product updates, and destination briefings to drive conversion.
  • Plan & conduct FAM trips at the resort with clear business objectives, understanding this is a remote-based role.
  • Build & execute a clear action plan to grow MICE, leisure group, and wholesale production for both resorts.
  • Roll out tactical promotions to stimulate demand across MICE & wholesale segments.
  • Manage key travel agency & corporate accounts with tailored approach & regular follow-up.
  • Track and report sales activities aligned with S&M strategy.

III. SCOPE OF DUTIES

  • Work with internal teams (Events, Reservations, Front Office, F&B) to ensure smooth execution of MICE & group bookings.
  • Join commercial & leadership meetings to align on sales focus areas and business needs.
  • Support the rollout of segment-specific sales plans in line with S&M objectives.
  • Help identify underperforming areas and contribute to targeted actions with the Senior Management team.
  • Recommend and monitor local S&M initiatives to support business goals.
  • Maintain updated sales resources (product decks, destination factsheets, offers) to support client communication.
  • Submit timely and accurate reports that support planning and performance tracking

IV. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Manage assigned accounts across MICE, Government, Wholesale and FIT Leisure.
  • Qualify new business opportunities that align with resort strategy & target segments.
  • Maintain account relationships through regular communication & support.
  • Manage MICE & group rate negotiations within agreed guidelines.
  • Work with wholesale partners to convert allotments, FIT requests & tactical offers into bookings.
  • Represent resorts in market visits, client meetings, industry events, & FAM trips (domestic & occasional international travel required).
  • Coordinate with Events & Reservations to ensure smooth handover of confirmed business.
  • Monitor market trends & competitor activity to support commercial decisions.
  • Work with cross-functional S&M teams to ensure aligned, non-overlapping efforts.

VII. REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid sales background in hospitality, with experience handling key segments such as MICE, Leisure Groups, Wholesale (FIT & GIT) and Corporate/Government
  • Strong knowledge of the Northern Vietnam market, especially Hanoi
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and client relationship skills
  • Strategic mindset, self-driven, and capable of working independently in a remote-based role
  • Fluent in English
