Job Description

Under the general guidance and supervision of the General Manager and Regional Operation Cluster (ROC) Head and adhering to the policies and procedures as meted out by the designated Hotels and Corporate Office, the incumbent shall oversee and direct all aspects of sales and marketing activities with the objectives of bringing the hotel to market speedily and achieving RevPAR-oriented goals consistently. Such activities include but are not limited to delivery of top-line budget through sales & marketing planning, promotional/tactical strategies, and overall accountability for the day-to-day effectiveness & communication of the sales force and hotels. Develops, motivates, and effectively supports the sales, marketing, and reservations teams.

  1. To achieve the given top-line budget of the designated hotel consistently.
  2. To manage forecasting accuracy to within +/- 5% of actual.
  3. Early planning of the annual budget with key supporting data to facilitate the annual budget within the required timelines.
  4. Early planning (up to one quarter prior) of key strategies for forward quarter promotions. This would include proper documentation of actions, execution flow, and results achieved to meaningfully track the success of each promotion.
  5. To grow current market share by a min. of 5-10% in revenue and/or establish new suitable markets, in comparison with the previous year.
  6. To complete planned training for the sales force.
  7. Ensure regular and effective marketing and social media coverage of the hotel to promote the image and performance of the hotel.
  8. Offer insightful information to the supporting departments (Food and Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, etc.) concerning the latest trends and market needs to improve the hotel’s performance.
  9. Monitor and report on any online social media and reputation activity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Sales & Marketing at a senior management level
  • College degree, technical certificate, diploma, or higher qualification, in a Sales related field. Preferably a 4-year degree with an emphasis in marketing, sales, public relations, and communications, and business administration.
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Ability to express effective, clear, and concise written and verbal communication
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good leadership, organizational, and administrative skills. Able to prioritize.
  • Strong administrative skills, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to document standards of performance
  • Dynamic, inspiring, innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
  • Ability to supervise and strongly motivate sales professionals is a must.
  • Easily approachable with an outgoing and pleasant personality
  • Able to maintain objectivity
  • Good team player
  • Hard working, able to withstand a very fast-paced working environment, and able to enroll and complete projects on his/her own
