Role Purpose

The Spa Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional wellness experiences through highly skilled treatments and personalized service, ensuring that every guest journey is both restorative and memorable.

Working under the guidance of the Lead Therapist, this role embodies the essence of care, discretion, and technical excellence aligned with Banyan Tree’s global standards.

Position Objective

To deliver world-class spa treatments while upholding the highest standards of technical skill, service excellence, hygiene, and guest care, contributing to the overall wellbeing experience and brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

Deliver spa treatments in accordance with defined protocols and luxury standards.
Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized recommendations and care.
Ensure every guest is welcomed warmly and guided through their wellness journey.
Maintain complete confidentiality of guest information at all times.
Support retail and service recommendations aligned with guest needs and business goals.

Operational Excellence

Prepare treatment rooms efficiently, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
Ensure all treatments are executed with precision, timeliness, and consistency.
Maintain full compliance with Spa SOPs, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Support inventory control, including linen and product management.
Be fully proficient in spa systems and operational tools.

Collaboration & Culture

Work collaboratively with Spa team members and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Support leadership and contribute to a positive, respectful, and service-driven team environment.
Participate actively in daily briefings, trainings, and development programs.
Reinforce the brand’s culture of wellbeing, mindfulness, and excellence.

Brand Representation

Act as an ambassador of the Spa and Banyan Tree Veya philosophy.
Ensure personal grooming, presentation, and conduct reflect luxury standards at all times.
Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the Spa’s reputation as a sanctuary of wellbeing.

Advanced English proficiency; Spanish highly valued.
Strong technical expertise in spa therapies and treatment protocols.
Exceptional attention to detail, hygiene, and service precision.
