Junior Marine Biologist supports conservation and research projects, assists with data collection and delivers environmental education to guests.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all marine conservation and research activities follow company procedures and safety standards.
- Conducts marine biology presentations and educational activities for guests.
- To be fully conversant with the Banyan Group environmental policy.
- To always be visible and open to guests, to actively address guests in public areas, promote the marine lab’s ‘open door’ policy.
- To take responsibility for maintenance and welfare of captive animals, and for maintenance and care of all marine centre equipment and facilities.
- To complete all required administrative duties and reports by the deadlines provided.
Requirements
- Working experience in marine biology or related field
- Degree in Marine Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline
- Passionate about marine conservation and environmental sustainability
- Good interpersonal skill and team-oriented person
- Able to read and communicate in English Must have the right to work in Malaysia
